  Her stomach had swollen quite significantly and most mornings she had become sick. Her body ached, and she felt drained of energy most of the time. She had been lying awake in their den for a couple hours watching her mate sleep. He was so peaceful when he was asleep, though he wasn't much less when awake. She had hoped that if she waited long enough, he would wake up on his own, however, the hunger she felt was too great now and she decided to wake him. "Shinn..." she whispered and poked at his shoulder with her paw, "Shin....wake up.."

His silver eyes widened for a moment as he jolted awake, but soon half-closed them as he fell into a more comfortable state. He stretched out his legs and rolled onto his back, looking up to Vuple with a dreamy smile. "Surely it's not time yet?" he asked the Ubeli in a low grumble, though it was not intended for him to be seen as grumpy, anywolf who had heard this without seeing his smiling expression would think this. </td>

  By now it had been explained to her that she would be giving birth soon and therefore ended the mystery of the morning sickness and weight gain. The only thing that remained a mystery is the intense cravings she had been having for quite some time now. She had tried to quell the urge but couldn't any longer. "No...I just...I didn't want to wake you but I don't get around as well as I did before...and..you see I need something to eat...something special..." She felt embarrassed having to wake him and then ask him to go find something ridiculous.

"Do not be alarmed, my love, but you seem to have more eyes than you went to sleep with." he stated rather calmly, hoping she'd follow suit with her emotions.
"It is normal for a wolf to crave while pregnant, I had forgotten about that part. Perhaps the pup needs different nutrition than you. What is it you desire?" he asked her.</td>

She blinked at him quite confused. "Excuse me? I have what now?" she barked and angled her head trying to see the extra eyes in a futile endeavor. She wanted to see it but couldn't get the right angle. His face was so calm and it confused her that he could be so calm when she had grown two extra eyes in the middle of the night!!!

She struggled to her feet and waddled over to the gemfish that Pix had made for her. A fireball formed and she held it up to the light in hopes that she could see the eyes. It gems worked like a trick mirror and the distorted her face but she could just make out a white spot beneath each eye. The view was a bit disorienting. For some reason, she hadn't noticed before he said something but it was almost like seeing double. It would definitely take some getting used to. "Now why do you suppose...." she whispered to herself whilst still looking at her reflection of the gems.

He half-smiled at the way she tilted her head about the place in a futile effort to find her third and forth eyes.
Half asleep, he was not in the best state to react to her struggle to get up, he rolled over and stood as quickly as he could to help, but by that time she had already started to make her way towards the reflective material. Leaving her to it for a moment, he yawned deeply stretching himself out both ways, and then padded over to her. He looked at the distorted image of her and rubbed his cheek against hers. "Beautiful. As always."</td>

Four eyes shifted towards him with a "yea right" expression. "I'm swollen and fluffy." She barked in a flat tone. Then giggled a little as her eyes focused back on the strange reflection "It will take some getting used to, that's for sure."

A rumble of her tummy reminded her of what she had originally wanted. She swiped her tongue gently across his cheek, "You know I love you right?" and a big grin spread across her face.

Shinshu raised his brow at her comment. "Beautiful." he repeated with a huge half grin. "Let's hope the pups take after you." he joked and nudged her gently.
The Lerk heard the rumble too. "Your wish is my command" he told her, tilting his head and waiting for the strange craving she had.

She grinned, "You are too kind my prince." then thought for a moment. "Do you think you could find me one of those tasty green gems?" They had seemed to be so delicious and now she wanted one. "Oh! and...and if it isn't too much to ask, could you like soak it in the mud of the lake for a minute or two?" Her mouth began to salivate at the thought of such a delightful snack. She looked at him and batted her eyelashes, "I'll be your bestest friend" she barked in a light and joking tone.
