Meeting Divum

As Freyja had allowed her to stay in Divum, Aamu now sought to meet it's members. All she'd ever wanted since arriving here was to find a pack to stay with, and now she'd found several friends in several different packs and her choice was pretty hard. However, both Orior and Divum looked promising to her, so now she wanted to make more friends and see how she'd get from there. After all, one couldn't decline the one just because she'd met the other first, in her mind.

Trotting through the opening in the wall, she stopped to have a good look around. She'd expected the hut in the middle, but not all those openings in the ground! "So that's were they all went!" She'd seen something from the air, but not really much when she'd approached first that morning. She'd been told that Juryoku lived here now, and Sijor had said that Shiloh was a really nice wolf even though she'd failed to mention what he looked like. Positively attuned, she barked. "Anyone around?" Or maybe she should try barking into a tunnel opening?

Shiloh was pretty good at sensing visitors. After all, he was the sentinel of the pack. It was his duty to Divum - among so many other manufactured duties. In the time of Blutigen, it had been vital, but with Blutigen ... not there anymore ... he had become lax, and almost detached. He had returned to the walls, now cleaning debris around them, and had returned also to the hut and the tunnel covers - anything to be out of the tunnels where a wolf had perished. He had affixed to the top of the hut more stone and gems, figuring that it was as good a place as any to build on an idea he'd had long ago. After all, birds nested in trees, so shouldn't Freyja the wolf-bird have a den in the sky? Especially considering Valkyrie's sway over the pack?

He was behind the hut when a strange bark came, one he hadn't heard before. Pausing the work he'd barely begun, the giant gourom meandered out from behind the structure and looked for the source of the bark. It came from a she-wolf with wings, colored orange. His ears perked, every little motion sending dust into the air, and then he began to lumber towards her in his natural position - ears forward, eyes wide, tail wagging - with all intentions of greeting her. Blutigen was no longer a problem, so the borders were lax in his mind again, and she was certainly not mean.

Every motion sent sand down to join the rest, and made the gems on his back and crown sparkle in the sun. It all fit in wonderfully as his voice rumbled forth to say: "Hullo!"

The orange dynroth, not hearing an answer immediately, now had focused her attention on the walls. So many flowers! So much color! So many gems! It sparkled a lot, really. It was impressive, somehow even if it didn't have any immediate function. So when the rumbling voice greeted her, her very first thought was that it was as if the wall spoke. Stupid, really, she knew that, so she turned quickly to see who spoke.

Well, he was impressive too! Shiny and sandy, this wolf was so definitely attuned to earth, there was no way of looking around it. Thinking of what she knew from Sijor, this might be Shiloh, but, for all she knew, there were more wolves in Divum that had the earth affinity and so she just wagged her tail at him and took a few more steps to close the distance, eyes shining with her joy over meeting new wolves and knowing more about this pack and therefore, the world. "Hello! My name's Aamu, I'm here for a visit of your pack. I talked to Freyja about it earlier. What's your name?" As such she introduced herself, wanting to know how he thought about that and also looking for comfirmation of her earlier theory of who this might be.

The lavendar di'shei had watched Aamu enter the packland proper and had smiled. She would likely find Shiloh fairly easily, and she hoped that the gourom would also approve of this new member to their small family. She seemed very gentle and kind, and one that she hoped that would stick around for a good while. Gusting herself up into the sky with a push of her own air affinity, she spread her wings to sort of glide overhead, casting a brief shadow as she watched Shiloh extricate himself from the back of the hut, where he had been apparently working on some other grand piece of sculpture. She smiled at that approvingly and then wound herself high up into the sky upon feathered wings to take her normal position as guardian of the skies while they visited.

Well, this was certainly news to him, but it was pleasant news. He did not notice the high-flying Freyja, down-to-earth as he was, but if Aamu had her word than Shiloh would certainly not doubt her. "Hullo Aamu!" was his cheery greeting, "'M Shiloh." No title, no more than a name, for that was all he was. That, and rocks, but the rock part was pretty obvious already and didn't merit words. He tilted his head, at a loss for something to say next, and finally settled on, "Do you have any magic?" It had proved a good enough question in the past, despite some wolves not having it, after all.

He didn't seem to have a say in the matter of her stay, but as he just greeted her it seemed to her that he didn't object, either. In fact, he only said his name and another greeting. Then, he seemed to be thinking. Quite long, really. Overall, he seemed quite slow with words at that, come to think of it. So, patience there then. "Yes, air magic, like Freyja. So I came to ask her if she'd teach me a little about it." she explained. She was also in search of a pack to join, but she didn't want to make him any promise yet because she wasn't sure if she could keep it. "You're Sijor's friend, right? I met her on the grasslands about a week ago." she mentioned. "I take it that you're good with earth?" She wanted to ask him all sorts of questions, then snapped shut. Maybe that wasn't the best idea ever if he had to think much over his words. On the other hand, maybe Sijor and earth magic could make him talk more easily.

The azahi had been lollygagging around for some time. He couldn't remember the last time he has done something productive. There was no telling on what he has missed out on during his times wandering outside the pack's border. Had he heard the bark of the familiar dame? Why yes he has. Although, he was stuck. Not literally stuck but just lazy. His lean body found itself glued to the ground, refusing to heed to what his mind commanded. So, he lain there stretched out with expectant eyes. There wasn't much distance from where the winged dame was. He could see her but perhaps she couldn't see him. Red orbs observed this little meeting he assumed was going on. Wait... What brought the dame here anyhow? Head slowly arose from his front paws, looking over intently.

It wasn't long until another had come to respond to her words. It was Shiloh. A snort of amusement sounded from him at the sight of both of them. Ears picked up on the gourom's greeting, readying for a reply towards them. He wasn't ready to make himself known, at least not yet. Of course, he was anticipating for Freyja, the one with higher power. Tucking his hind legs, he pushed himself up into a sit that was quite sloppy in a way. Ah, so she was visiting? His response was just a tilt of his head. The two wolves he was observing had found themselves on the topic of magic. The mention of the papillon that gave him this flower he held, caused his tail to tighten its grip around such flower. Assuming this watching was no longer needed, he got back onto his legs and approached the two wolves slowly.

"Aamu, ma chère, I see you have found Divum. Bienvenue." A greeting followed forth to Aamu, slight cheerfulness in his tones. He wasn't intending to ruin the two's current conversation but it would be rude to just appear out of nowhere and not at least say something. A smile and nod was given to Shiloh with a lost on words on what to speak to him. He wondered how Aamu had been doing, flying-wise. Eyes hadn't perceived anything negative upon the dame's form so she must be doing well. Stepping back from the two, he sat down more neatly this time and had his tail wrap around his paws. He looked to be as if he was monitoring the conversation, however, that was far from the case.

He continued to grin, now having something to catch and return to continue the conversation. It seemed that his faltering question had worked, and now he had plenty to answer. To be questioned was nice, a wondrous change from neverending silence. Maybe Aamu would stay, and fill the neverending nothing pervading Divum's tunnels. Juryoku made a quiet appearance, then, and Shiloh grinned and nodded at him too. He'd been quite happy when his friend had come to stay in his pack. It was nice to have another wolf there, even if they hadn't talked very much yet.

Then, he looked back to Aamu, tail busily wagging and shedding more sand to join the earth below. It was almost ridiculous, to see all that dirt come off of his coat, but given the sheer skill at his disposal it was only to be expected. It was something dear to him - he'd had sisters when he'd first noticed the trait. "Sijor's my best friend," he confirmed, followed by, "She and her mum taught me a lot about the earth skill. And I practice a lot."

He wasn't one to brag, but he did feel that her question required some kind of scale to judge with, so he added, "I fixed the walls. And the hut. And the tunnels. And the tunnel covers. And..." His voice trailed off. He'd... done pretty much everything in Divum. Everything sparkly, anyways. It had all been there before, but he'd made it beautiful, all by himself. He found the thought incredibly depressing. He knew that he was not supposed to be depressed, and so he turned a question towards her instead: "And you're good with air?"

Aamu looked quite surprised as Juryoku made a, to her, sudden appearance by standing up. She assumed she'd overlooked him because he laid down behind some pile of dirt or sand, or maybe just because of all the shiny things on the walls and the hut. Freyja had of course told her that he was there, but as she hadn't spotted him (being a dynroth, she relied on her eyes and ears more than her nose) she had thought that he had been away. She smiled at his greeting, and wagged her tail enthousiastically - moreso than when talking to Shiloh, because now she had two friends to talk to than one - before answering. "Hi Jury! I heard you joined this pack just this morning. It's good to see you again!"

After that, she turned to Shiloh who continued their conversation about Sijor and his earth magic. "It's very beautiful!" she praised him, admiring the shiny walls. "All those gems and statues... that must have taken a lot of time! I don't think I'd ever had the patience!" Looking around once more, she still couldn't comprehend all of it's beauty, but that would come over time. If she wanted, she could stay here and live with them, Freyja had said. That was if Shiloh and Juryoku would agree of course. Aamu wasn't one to make a fuss about such things, but she did want everyone to agree with her stay because otherwise, it would make for a bad start. After all, a pack was family of some sorts. Not that she thought they really would object if she asked, they seemed happy to have her visit.

She was drawn back to the real world when she was asked a question. "Well, not as good as you are with earth, I guess. And of course not anywhere near Freyja's skills. But I am practising. It's only that with an air affinity, I cannot really show you anything I made." she said. No souvenirs about her air affinity's process for Shiloh then. Although. Come to think of it, she smiled and caressed Shiloh's fur a bit, having a small breeze go through the sandy fur, shedding a bit more of his sand in the process. "But using air to lift sand could make it visible. And it can help you clear out those tunnel openings, I think." she proposed.

“Tis lovely seeing you again as well.” A small smile grew on his face as Aamu spoke to him. Red orbs turn to look at the surrounding wall he had first looked at when coming here. It seems that is has caused her the same interest as he. Nodding to himself at her assumption on how long it took the gifted gourom, statues certainly did take long. He knew that for a fact and from his own experiences. He would have to give it another go again. Although, it would be really difficult without his relative by his side, not like they would help anyway. Looking back and forth at the two, they seemed to be enjoying the company of each other just fine. No need for another he quietly purposed. “I won’t be far from you, amour. If you wish to talk more then do seek me.” Announcing his small leave so the two wolves could have the floor to themselves, he had bowed his head and made his way back onto four legs. There was the temptation of doing a bit of digging. No more than dirt would probably be found but it was a fun little task to do. Not wanting to ruin the greatness of the wall that surrounded Divum, he would create the hole elsewhere. Trotting off to leave them be, the thought of bringing himself back to the spot he hid in floated around him.
