Ahti nodded. She did very well, with feeling the currents. "Remember that you can never make a current turn back or it will break. You have to work with them to guide them, to do your bidding. Here, I'll show you." He extended one of the flows that were inside the orb, to shape another droplet out of the first. "Now you can try. If it doesn't work the way you want it to, then perhaps you're working against an existing flow of the water and you have to try again instead of forcing it until your headache comes back again." he explained. After all, he did not want her to feel really sick because of this water use.

Ahti's words filled her mind as the Di'shei focused on the aquatic orb. He spoke of guiding currents, and she took the words to heart. Tallu would need to focus and learn as much as she could from this lesson to really learn her powers. With his own power, Ahti separated a droplet of water from the orb, earning an excited squeak from the eager Di'shei.

<b>"So... you just focus on moving with the current?"</b> She looked briefly to Ahti before turning back to the orb, observing the currents once more. When she got a feel for the current, Tallu timed her focus, easing a very wobbly droplet of water from the orb. She squeaked again, much more excitedly this time, and the droplet fell straight down into the puddle. Tallu looked down, suddenly embarrassed, before looking to Ahti with a sheepish grin. <b>"Uh... whoops. Lost my focus for a second."</b>

It was actually funny to watch her work with the water when she was so obviously overexcited about it, and so, the aqua coloured male grinned with the embarrassed lila female amd chuckled. "You wouldn't be the first. Try again. See how many droplets you can make and hold afloat." he offered. Having someone with the water affinity around to teach and watch them grow, he truly loved. Perhaps he should make another trip south to Orior someday, or maybe he could go see the beach and rocky pools. It would be nice to work some water in different places.

Despite being a bit embarrassed, Tallu was relieved to see Ahti was not stern with her, but rather grinning alongside her. He challenged her to create more droplets, as many as she could without dropping them. Tallu nodded, focusing once more on the orb of water. She watched the currents carefully, timing her force properly. One drop soon separated, then another, and another, until she had about five drops of water held still in the air.

Tallu wanted to jump around with excitement, but she wanted to try for more. Her head was already beginning to ache, but she kept her focus. One more drop began to separate, but she couldn't pull it completely away from the orb. The more she tried to force it, the more her head began to hurt. She decided to give up on the sixth droplet, relaxing and pushing the five droplets back into the orb. <b>"I almost had that last one. My head started to hurt again, so I decided to just put it back."</b> She let out a quiet sigh, feeling the pain in her head melt away.

Ahti really did not mind any failure. In fact, she learned from it and used it to get better, which he appreciated. Now she held five drops and even if a sixth just did not work, he nodded.

"Very good Tallu, you're a fast learner. If you're up for it, please merge them together and shape them into something else. A cube might work, like this." Guiding the waterflows in different directions, his own orb now changed form because of it and started to look like a decent cube.

With Ahti encouraging her and praising her successes, Tallu was feeling quite energetic. She was learning more and more, learning more control and power as he instructed the Di'shei.

He challenged her this time to transform the orb into a different shape. She watched, eyes full of awe as the water mage moved the currents of the orb into more angular, cut shapes. A wobbly cube formed, and she nodded to this instruction. Focusing on the puddle once more, she rose the five droplets up again, slowly merging them into a very wobbly orb. She focused harder, brows furrowing even more as the orb wavered and struggled to move.

When the orb wouldn't cooperate, Tallu shut her eyes and exhaled quietly, reopening them with a new focus. The droplets steadied, slowly changing shape from round to cubical. Though the edges were slightly rounded and waving, it was definitely a different shape. Tallu looked briefly to Ahti, simultaneously keeping the cube together, smiling proudly to the male. <b>"I think I got that part... it takes a lot more focus though."</b>

Ahti nodded to Tallu. "It is only logical that you may not yet have the strength to form a perfect cube, since it is so different from what water wants to be. If you keep practising, however, I'm sure you can manage to learn it." he said, waving his long di'sheian tail across the ground once.

Thinking of more effort and focus, he wondered about her health and tried to feel once more. Healthy but tired. "Perhaps it is time to stop and rest, so you can practise with the water on another time?" They could still talk, but surely her head must be slowly hurting from fatigue by now.

Tallu listened in to his words, nodding gently as she understood his reasoning. Ahti told her that it would take a lot of practice, but she would soon be able to create a perfect cube from the water. She smiled sweetly, knowing that it would come eventually to her.

He suggested she stop, so as to avoid harming herself, which earned a slight nod from the Di'shei. Her head was a bit achy, though it wasn't unbearable like the first time she had tried. <b>"Sounds good to me. I just want to learn it so well, y'know? Magic is just so... fascinating to me. So much power and mystery surrounding it."</b>

Ahti nodded, gently smiling. "I can relate to the feeling. Water is a truly wonderful element to have, and magic in general is really interesting. Being a di'shei means you can study all the elements should you want to." He really thought so, at least. It was nice to have someone around that felt the same way to the element, really attached to it, instead of one who was just curious about it.

Tallu was glad to have found someone to teach her about magic, as it was always a bit difficult learning on her own. He revealed to her that because of her Di'sheian lineage, she would be able to study all the elements. However, she felt a particular affinity for water and fire, despite them being polar opposites.

<b>"I think fire may be my next study, once I become proficient in water... it'll take a while, but I think I could do it! Water just came naturally to me, and then my parents were water mages, too... I felt a connection to it."</b>
