In a slumberous state, she dreamed of playing with the pups. Showing them the outside world and discovering their magic. It was a pleasant dream like most and so she didn't appreciate being woken up by- something. Her head rose and eyes widened as she counted the pups as her instinct told her. All were fine, so she yawned lazily and giggled a little at them. They were so cute! Their eyes and ears had opened, and they were beginning to use their legs unsteadily.</td>

The first days of puppyhood weren't very interesting or special for the young girl. Aside from the warmth radiated by her mother and siblings, the feeling of warm milk on her tongue and the interesting smells that would occasionally come and go, she didn't experience a lot of new things. It wasn't until her eyes were properly open that she began exploring the various new sights and experiences. Although her sight wasn't great, but rather, fuzzy and unclear, she could see certain movements and colors, and that made the world around her a whole lot more fascinating and exciting. Her ears were now open too so everything sounded so much clearer although perhaps it was a bit better when her sibling's yips and yelps were muffled and the den was quieter.

The first thing she took real interest were her mother's wings and feathers. Well, she didn't really know what they were, but what she did know was that they were all these shades of bright and interesting colors, contrasting with the dull walls of the den and much more pretty than her own aqua colored pelt. She was still too chubby and uncoordinated to be able to look backward and see that she too, unlike her brothers, sported a colorful fin across her back so, for now, she could only assume her mother was the only one sporting such pretty hues. Like a helpless child, led by pure curiosity and desire to touch and interact, she crawled and walked on wobbly, unsteady paws towards the candy colored extremities of her mother, letting out various garbled, unintelligible puppy noises and, in an attempt to reach up to them, her thick paws lacking in the necessary coordination and practice gave out on her, the puppy falling instead and sinking into the thick, di'shei fluff that belonged to her mother. Loud but muffled yips and squeals of frustration came out of this fluff that was now engulfing and wrapping her, despite her efforts to free herself from its grasp.

The frustrated squeals made by his sister stirred young Skye from his sleep. Though he didn't know why, how or better yet what he could do about it, the sound of his sister yelping alarmed him. His ears had opened and the noises around him were much clearer and far more crisp than they had been in the first few days of his short little life. New developments had also given him the ability to see this world around him, though things were still a bit blurry. With his eyes open for the first time he looked around his world a bit dazed. Whether it was the fact that he had only just awoken or the newfound ability to see this new world, he sat there for a moment taking things in. After all it was a big step to all of a sudden <i> see </i> the world instead of merely smell it.
Very soon however the screams of his sister made him spring into action, he must figure out what was going on, though to be honest most of this was instinct pulling him toward an interesting sound. However the young pup tried to stand far too quickly and instead of rushing towards his sister in a valiant effort to help...he fell, rather hard on his face. Whimpers and yelps erupted from his tiny maw with a volume seemingly incomprehensible for such a small creature. None the less the tiny pup screamed at the injustice of his oversize and under controllable limbs.

Eventually the feeling of helplessness became to annoying to him and he struggled to coordinate all his limbs to help him rise from his face planted position on the floor instead of simply screaming about it.

The winged pup yawned when his mother and siblings started to move. "Whaa?" was about the most co-ordinated word he'd ever spoken yet, lingering between what and why as he asked... something. Attention. Clarification. His eyes blinked slowly, looking around the den as he had done for the past two weeks since they had opened. For a long while, every day he had spotted something new but to his surprise and disappointment, today was no such day. With his expanded vision he could now see the walls of the den, as he had yesterday.

He was soon distracted by whatever his sister and brother were doing - wiggling, making sounds, and brother had attempted a walk! Wait what! He needed to know how to do that too! Momma could walk, and Papa, and if Brother could try then he must too! So, with a delighted squeal he moved all his six appendages in a crawling motion - not really standing, and his wings were moving similarly to his paws, hindering as much as helping him move around.

She called, and shook her head a little. She nudged her out of there with her muzzle. Then she turned her attention to her brother, Skye, who had fallen over and started crying, but then he got up and Enfys chanted "Yeah! Skye!" The other male, though, seemed confused with which limbs to use, so she decided a lesson was in order. She stood, making sure she didn't injure the pups while doing so and padded a few steps away from them. She did this slowly so hopefully, they'd see her movements and copy. She turned to face them and bowed down. "Come on!" she called to the three of them, hoping they could all use their legs well enough to get to her.</td>

A cloud is a funny sort of crystal

Help arrived and as soon as her head surfaced from the sea of floof that was previously threatening to drown her, Iiris cooed happily, returning to her quest for the colorful candies that moved back and forth whenever her mother would move. Her thick, puppy paws reached out and she had just managed to prop herself up, a small step closer to the pretty hues that enticed her so. Her wish for reaching them was strong and she wasn't interested in what her siblings were doing anymore, failing to notice her slightly older brother fall flat on his face, nor the younger one as he was exploring and finding out why wings don't make good paws. No, she was too entranced by the feathers and so, when her mother decidedly stood up and left, just like that, little Iiris was beyond chagrined. Her paws that were triumphantly holding her closer to her target had now slipped back on the ground and with a thump, so did her bottom as she sat down, pouting and watching her mother move away. The little pup was decided! She would not participate in whatever this new game was. Her displeasure had to be acknowledged!

Finally able to get himself standing again the pup set his eyes on his sister. She was now sitting a bit further from him. On unsteady paws he tried to coordinate them to all work in one direction. Instead of walking like a normal wolf he could only make them work enough to scoot him across the floor of the den on his belly. Each paw was working, but instead of being able to stand he opted to scoot, it was far easier. Every once in a while a paw would catch just the right way and he would be lifted off the ground for a step and then plop back down. Very inefficient.

This method did work well enough to help him reach his sister, however ungracefully. Due to his lack of coordination, instead of sitting beside his seemingly upset sister he instead toppled over on top of her. Knocking them both to the earth though not hard enough to cause any pain to either of them, just more frustration.

Blinking at his forelegs and giving an unsatisfied squeal when he accidentally put his right wing in his own ear, Seth brambled and shook his head. Behind him somewhere, his siblings were making noises and then Sister was whining. However, Momma was moving, she stood really tall and moved on four legs and tucked her wings to her side. Ah! Maybe he did not need those. After all, Brother and Sister didn't have them either. With renewed effort, the pup tried folding his wings back with some trouble, and moved his legs. Mostly three of them honestly, but his wobbly standing and walking only resulted in falling anyway. Then, he rolled over to stare at his siblings with a happy squeal, forgetting what he was doing until Brother moved again. Oh yes! He rolled over again and found he was no longer in the same place. That was much more fun than walking! He turned a bit and rolled over a few times more in the direction of his siblings, bumping into the pile of wiggling fur with a heavily wagging tail. "Haaa!"

She lifted her wings, spreading them out and tilting them so they faced the pups, she hoped that the bright colours would attract them, and at the same time show Seth that wings were not made for walking- or rolling on. She giggled at their movements and shook her head, then lifted her paws, marching on the spot. "Like this!" she barked, hoping that at least one of them would pay attention.</td>

She squealed, no, downright screamed at the top of her little lungs as not one, but both of her brothers came crashing into her, the second being rather notably heavier. She would have no such nonsense and between the squeals, she pouted as strongly as her puppy features would allow, which really, wasn't that strong, but she was satisfied with just that. They would certainly find out just for displeased she was with their rude toppling and stumbling. But then, within a short moment, her mother's colorful candy appendages showed up once again, flashed out temptingly and the little girl found herself unable to resist it, her muzzle instantly breaking into a huge smile as she forgot why she was pouting in the first place. She just had to get there! And this was just the perfect opportunity to show her brothers how this walking business was done!

Iiris did her best to move away from the pile of fallen floof, pushing her feet with all her might and once she was certain that her little legs would listen to her, she set out on her newly acquired quest... except that her thick, puppy limbs refused to obey and as soon as her first paw hit the ground, she somehow tripped and fell over, tumbling a couple of times with a loud "Oof!". What was this dark sorcery, tripping her and attempting to subdue her confidence? She would have none of it! Iiris rose back up as quickly as a plump puppy could muster and decided to try a sideways crawl, quickly finding out just why it wasn't a good idea as she tripped once more and rolled a couple of times, all of her limbs moving erratically in an attempt to stop the dizzying movements. None were good and she was beyond frustrated. But the colorful candies in front of her caught her attention once more and they were worth it so she decided the good 'ol crawl will do as she began moving in the direction of her mother.... and her prized rainbow feathers of course! It was definitely a lot more successful than her previous attempts and her little tail wagged behind her as she picked up a bit of speed.
