The erratic movements showed not only that Iiris was a beginner, but that she was feeling shakily throughout the whole ordeal as well. He watched it fly, feeling both happy that she had held the water as well as pitiful that she feared it so much that she would only think to throw it away. The positive thing through all of this however was that she'd learned to move the water, and work against her fear to accomplish that it wouldn't hurt her so much. For Iiris, this was huge step.

He watched his daughter, and smiled a little at the sight of her frozen, closed-eyed posture. He nudged her head softly. "That seems enough for today. Shouldn't we go and tell your mother about it?" he asked. Sure enough she had something to be at least a tiny bit proud of. After all, she'd performed the tasks given, felt the water, and moved it around. Which had been really, all he could ask for today.

Iiris had fallen silent, but since the lesson was over anyway, he just nuzzled the top of her little head, always careful with their magical gems which were sensitive. Then he gave her a small push to make her move, walk away from the lake, and go do whatever pups did to pass the time. Perhaps rest, or play, or tell someone about it. He wouldn't be able to tell, as it had been so long ago for him.

The young female blinked, still unsure and taken aback, trying to concentrate to see if she could maybe find the little blob of water which she could so easily sense before. Once she had opened her eyes, she found it wasn't there anymore, having just strangely vanished and in her youthful fit of intense concentration, she failed to register the words her daddy had spoken, until he gently nudged the top of her head, snapping her out of it. As if her bubble of fear had been completely burst, and with nothing to worry about or fear anymore, she hopped up, wagging her tail happily and cheerily going with the flow as she was nudged on, leaving the lake behind.
