She shook her head and laughed. She really didn't know how to do that, really, she just figured that they could learn it. It couldn't be so hard if Sif did it, and Conall, right? <b>"Oh, I don't know, but it's not like it's hard, right? You just have to find them first, like smell them and then go after them right?"</b> Was her chipper answer, her tail wagging happily as he summoned his fire. At the fire, her eyes widened and she scooted back a small step. Fire still was a bit scary for her, but it was her brother, and HE wasn't scary, so instead, she nodded after a moment. <b>"Y . . yeah! I bet they are! It's a bit scary for me, so I bet it's really scary for them!"</b> Her bark rang out with only the tiniest fear at the fire, although it looked rather mezmerizing. Well, if it gave her a little bit of a scare, maybe it would give something else a right bigger one!

"Ey, ah'll be careful!" the Lerk'shei reassured his sibling and extinguished the flame before he got too tired, then he chomped up some snow to quench his thirst. "Ah" he sighed in relief. The snow was much better than the swamp water, even if it did give him brain freeze! He moved the heat inside of him to his head, to stop his brain hurting, then jumped into action. "A'ight! Let us find some food together." he barked with gusto, and licked his sister before creeping deep into the forest in search of a big animal.</td>

With her brother's assent, and his reassurance that he would be careful, she nodded again, her tail wagging and dragging it's fluff around with small scraping noises in the snow as she rejoiced in their togetherness again. Skadi's thoughts of finding the rest of her family were pushed to the back of her mind as she grinned happily and crept after her brother, sniffing along on the ground, and in the air for any scents.

After a time of not finding anything herself, she started wondering about the air. Maybe she could use it to her advantage and make it pull scents to them. So, as she walked, she grabbed ahold of her air affinity and started using it to pull things towards her and her brother, to see if she could maybe make hte air currents bring <i>them</i> the scent of something. Finally, it seemed to work, and she excitedly bumped her brother with her nose, almost barking loudly but muffling her tones suddenly remembering that they were hunting. <b>"It's the scent of some deer, they're over there!"</b> Was her excited, soft bark as she moved her head towards the left, towards where there was a bit of a close knit bunch of trees growing.

Though they did not catch any scents for a while, Freyadim was so hungry that he had he eat something fresh today, so his paws drove him forward through the aches that he'd unleashed upon himself for remaining almost completely inactive for so long. He trudged through the forest floor with his sister by his side, sniffing for prey, until he found something. He froze for a moment to look at his sister- but she was already on it. "Bloody great job, Skadi! Le's find 'em!" he barked as softly as he could, unable to mask his barks with the magic his sister had.

Shifting to the left, he scanned the trees ahead. No movement could be seen, probably because it was a thick part of the forest. "'ey, sis! How good are ye with light magic? Can ye hide us?" he asked, recalling how his siblings were better at him with all magics but fire, last he knew. Creeping forward, he could hear some grunting of a possible herd ahead, but couldn't see anything. Looking to his sister, he swiveled his ears to the source, signalling to her that they were close.</td>

Her brother's praise got a larger smile from her, as he seemed ecstatic about the find. Perhaps they would be able to get a small one a least, it couldn't be that hard, right? So, as he looked, she scooted forward a bit, to see if she could see around the trees, which wasn't the easiest thing to do. There were a group of several brown deer creatures in the little copse of trees, hanging out, just sort of digging in the snow to find some greenery. They didn't look too big, and in fact, looked a bit short, shorter than she and her brother in fact! But she knew that deer were fast, and she didn't think that they would be slow enough for them to just walk up on, so when he suggested using her light element to help, her eyes brightened and she nodded.

<b>"I think so. Here, let me try on you. Maybe if I make a noise, and um, you sort of hide and get around to the other side of them, they can run towards you and maybe you can stop one, and then I can come help."</b> She offered up hopefully, unsure if that was even a good plan or not. However, she concentrated on her light magic, and at first, there was just a little spark of blue light that appeared and then slowly, she covered Frey with all of it until he disappeared from view, although she knew he was there because it was her light. <b>"I can't see you now! Go try."</b> She barked as quietly as she could, smiling. This was something that Borealis would have liked if he were here, using the light to help with something like this.

As they sneaked a little closer, he realised the deer weren't as beastly as he remembered as a pup. The males were a little bigger with horns and Frey didn't quite like the idea of that if they fought back, so when his sister suggested that they run towards him, he felt a bit sick, but then, he didn't want Skadinna to get hurt either, so he obliged, giving a small nod before his sister covered him with the light. "You're the best, Skadi!" he whispered, and started to make his way around the other side of the deer, being careful not to step on any twigs or the like. From then on, they would have to be quiet for this hunt to be successful. Freyadim even went to the trouble of tightening his stomach muscles in an attempt to stop the graoning.</td>

Skadi smiled largely, her magic had worked, and now she just needed to concentrate. So she nodded and managed to keep track of Freyadim as he trekked across the snow, being quieter than she would have ever thought he could be. It was fun, she realized, going out on a hunt like this and she didn't know why they never had before. Perhaps because they had always had their parents to help, and she felt proud that they could do something now without their help. Not that they'd had a choice, but that wasn't something she was going to try and focus on now.

Waiting until he got to the other side of the deer, she realized it was time, and suddenly started barking loud as she could, trying to sound super vicious so that the deer would run. To that effect as well, she moved forwards herself, yet still tried to keep Freyadim concealed with the light magics, realizing he would have a much easier time if they couldn't see him. It was tough to move and do that at the same time, thought and the light flickered just a bit a few times as she wrested concentration back over it.

not particularly wanting to take of the horns. A larger female at the back caught his eye, and he followed her movements from then on.

Skadinna pounced from the brush, growling and barking in a way that Freyadim had not seen her do before and it had worked. The herd moved towards him with great speed, faster than he could dodged. It seemed his disguise faultered a little as a few changed direction- that ghave him an idea. He summoned a wall of fire in front of him, only just able to see over the top of it. The herd split and none of the deer hit him, thankfully.

Waiting until the larger female at the back got closer, he moved the fire in front of her, coaxing the deer in his direction. The large doe's side was exposed- perfect. He leapt at it, and aimed his teeth as it's neck.</td>

After she ran, she stopped momentarily, a bit unsure of what came next. Well, she figured she may as well try and then she rushed forwards again, as she witnessed Freyadim actually summoning the wall of fire! That made her falter a bit, and then she realized that he was using it to stop her and so well if she didn't get too close to the fire, she figured it wouldn't burn her. With a great leap and a bound, snow flying everywhere as her large, feathered paws touched down and then propelled her bulk up again, she hit the back of the doe's legs, grabbing and tearing for her skinny appendages, hoping to aid her brother, although she was a good bit clumsy at it, sliding herself onto her side as she fell to the ground with an "oomph!". <b>"We got it!"</b> She barked as she grabbed for purchase, unable to stop herself from grinning even though this was hardly going as polished as a regular hunt should go. She had also by now, let go of the concentration for her light magic, so all the wolves were entirely visible, as well.

Able to grab onto its neck with his powerful jaws, he clamped down, trying to suffocate the creature as fast as possible as he had done with other creatures. Skadinna came along to drag it to it's side, which proved very helpful. "Aye!" he called in a muffled voice, clamping at the deer's throat. It was hard to hold it down with it thrashing all around, but Freyadim soon stood atop the beast, restricting her breathing even more, and after a long, long struggle, the deer went unconscious, and the Lerk'shei were able to let go, without worrying about it escaping. "Well, ah'd say that was pretty brilliant! he woofed to his sister.
