It was Spring! Winter had ended bringing back the prey. Some of the cold still remained. This made the dark furred wolf very happy. Not all of the prey was back, but slowly they were. The female was still rather new to this area. After all, after she fell in what she could only assume was a portal, she didn't travel. This was the first time she did so.
Syrrith lifted her muzzle to the air. A nice, nippy breeze blew over the land in its predawn state. There were many scents on the air. Some of them mixed as if the two different things were one. The green eyes scanned the hilly area.
As of that moment, she stood upon one of the tallest hills in the area, allowing her to see over most of the land. Some movement in the corner of her eye caught her attention, making the wolf turn.

Her sons and daughter were now old enough to do as they pleased, so she was free to wander- though she would always return to Zanali regularly, as she was comfortable there. As she glided over the hilly grasslands she spotted a dark figure of a wolf. "Might as well meet a new friend!" she thought to herself with optimism. The feathered female shifted her wings back to create less drag, and dove down, howling happily as she did to alert the other to her presence, when very close to the ground, she opened her rainbow wings and landed lightly, but she had to skip to a halt as she was going so fast. This put her a few lopes away from the other wolf atop the hill. "Hello!" she cheered.</td>

As hard as it was to surprise her, this wolf had managed to. They were coming from the sky. And they had wings. Very colorful wings if Syrrith might add. This confused the wolf greatly.
I must be sick. Wolves don't have wings....
Still, the green eyes watched cautiously as the winged wolf landed. The rainbow feathered wings still caught her off guard, so when they wolf greeted them, it took a second to register.
"Hello. May I have your name?" Syrrith asked, regaining her composure. The melanistic wolf took a quick sniff at the air. This was one of the scents that she had picked up just a second ago.

What might your name be?" she barked courteously, with an upbeat tone. She looked the other wolf over using all her senses. It seemed to be an adult female Dynroth that appeared healthy, though quite skinny. She smiled at her legs, noticing the similar pattern, then pricked her ears to hear the other answer.</td>

The female gave a slight nod. 
"Hello Enfys. My name is Syrrith. May I ask what Zanali is?" She spoke, her voice clear and firm, yet soft. Syrrith made a mental note to ask why Enfys was smiling after she looked at her. A little bit of unease came from that. The dark coated female was never one for attention. At least not a lot of attention. Syrrith's ears perked, awaiting the response from the winged wolf in front of her. The young wolf could just not get over how she had the wings. And they were functional. It nearly blew her mind.

It's located within the stone ruins, south-west of here." she answered. She parted the grass with her earth magic, making it more flat so it wouldn't bother her, and sat down.
The grass perked back up when she let go, so no harm done. After getting herself more comfortable she asked "Are you new here- if you don't mind me asking?"</td>

A Pack? Interesting. It is hard being a loner...
The female gave a nod and watched in amazement when the grass moved. Her head tilted to the side slightly.
"I-is that normal for these lands?" The female asked, a little bit of concern in her voice. This was very strange. Land that moved and wolves with wings? Was... was she on a different planet? She did fall through something, which she could only assume to be a portal, that led her here. Syrrith couldn't help but lower her head to the ground and sniff it.
No, smells like ground.
Her ears perked when she realized that she had asked a question. 
"Oh. I am new I guess. To this specific place I am." The part about the portal was kept quiet, in case the other wolf thought she was crazy. And she wouldn't blamer her! All of this seemed crazy to her too....

She gave the other a slow nod and a grin. "Magic is widespread here, yes. I have earth magic- it's what I'm best at." she explained, and without even a flinch, she grew a carpet of flowers of all types around herself, and around Syrrith and giggled a little bit. "I also have water, and fire magic but I'm not so great at that." she admitted. "I could help you, teach you some things about this place if you wish. It's awfully hard being new to this place."</td>

The dark coated wolf lifted up a paw as to not touch one of the flowers. This was a little..."strange". She shook out her pelt, trying to clear her head. Could it be possible that she had magic too? After all, she was here.
"I am new to all of this, but is it a possibility that I have magic?" The part about the portal was once again left out.
What if, since I wasn't born here, I have no magic?
The paw lowered until it once again touched the land. The magic land. A tiny spark of hope showed in her eyes. Yes, the magic did scare her just a bit, but how cool would it be to have it too? "A-and how do you tell that you have it?" Another question popped out of her mouth. Wow. She wasn't usually this talkative. That was the scariest part.

I never had such colourful feathers and wings, nor magic. Since I've arrived, almost everywolf I've met has some magic in them. It is fascinating." she barked cheerfully,
tail sweeping through the flowers behind her. The feathered female felt as though she could see the glint of happiness in the other's eyes for a moment before another inquiry arose.
"Ah, you just kind of... feel it. Either by reaching out to the elements around you, or when another performs magic. I found the latter to be more helpful."</td>
