His target was moving, which obviously annoyed the black dynroth because he hadn't hit the head. He had no time to process this for very long however, because he was hit with a full body slam. Seeing stars for maybe a heartbeat, he staggered sideways in an attempt to clear his vision. When it did, he turned to the lerk who was now some ways half-behind him, having walked figuratively "through" Raff. Snarling, he aimed for as focused of air as he could, trying to hit an eye or something else soft of sorts with the wind and whatever he could think of to grasp with it - small snippets of forest leaves, branches, and sand in this case.

It didn't take long at all for the resilient male to recover, and soon the Lerk was hit again with a flurry of leaves, twigs and sand. A twig cut the inside of his large ear, leaving it bleeding. Gasping in pain, he breathed in the sandstorm which blocked his nose and mouth. He snorted and spat it out with a lot of effort, and thought to flee for a moment, but remembered what the stranger had said about his mate. Summoning some water again, he aimed it straight for the other's nose, hoping to do the same to him.

Glaring at him, he barked "Too much what?" he tilted his head slightly, mocking the other. Shinshu had lost all patience with this pest, so he gave it his all, using the power he had within him to swipe at his head with one of his paws, claws out, his whole body being used to power the smack. Simultaneously he roared "I didn't hear you!"

Raffia chuckled. Even if he was hit full in the head-shoulder region by the large lerk's body slamming, he chuckled. He was angry! Very angry! Sure, the dark dynroth coughed a little, but even the major damage he now took seemed minor in comparison to what he'd accomplished. His own air magic was faster than the dynroth could be at this point, so he slammed a wall of the thickened air right towards the head or shoulder area of the lerk to hit him and hold him off long enough to speak. "Got you to fight me."

Still, he stood in preparation, and soon, a wall of air slammed against his shoulder and neck, but it wasn't enough to cause major injury. He jumped back and lowered his head, pretending not to hear the evil wolf- but of course, he had. He powered his way through the already dissipating wall, which slowed him down a little, but he managed to get to the intruder. Aiming for the very top of his legs, he ducked and butted his side, hoping to sweep him off his feet. (OOC: How romantic ...)

The black male grinned, but his laugh was soon swiped off his face as his legs were swiped away from under his body. He fell, but not too hard and as he scrambled back to his paws he simply threw around the air once again, wildly but thickly, trying to hit the lerk wherever he could. He honestly didn't mind if and if so, where, he hit.

The white wolf was successful, but only for a little while, as he got back up pretty easily it seemed, but it gave the Lerk enough time to defend himself. As the black male shot at him with his air magic, Shinshu ducked behind his paw, and the air hit the scales, and they were strong enough to hold up against the magic. He smiled through the pain, and swiped at the dogs face again with all his might.

His air strike was deflected, which surprised the black dynroth - and so he only got a heartbeat to duck away. He still got hit, but near his neck and not in the face as perhaps had been intended, though it still hurt. He was tiring quickly now of his bruises, and sped forwards faster than most wolves would ever be able to - only to hit the wolf completely off target. It wasn't entirely a miss, but it wasn't like he'd hit anything substantial either. He wasn't sure how long his body could keep all this up.

The Lerk was not easy on him though, since he had insulted Vuple. He gathered up all of his energy and power, slamming straight into the strangers head with his bulky shoulder. He hit very hard.
