(OOC: "Movement on six kegs"? This but Vi on six kegs XD)

Vi shrugged a little to Aamu. "I just... run normally." she told the other, and gave a demonstration. She started her run back towards the tree she had been under before, loping just as she had learned to do on four legs, but with her two extra paws following the movements of her front paws. Looping around the tree, she came back to Aamu and tilted her head. "Have you seen other wolves run differently? Am I doing it wrong?" she asked. The purple wolf had been taught to walk like this, and had been doing so her whole life, so she thought nothing of it, but since the blonde Dynroth had pointed it out, she was now thinking of other ways she could utilise her legs.

As Aamu saw how Vi was running, she tilted her head. Well, that could definitely use some improvement. "I have, but I wouldn't say that it is wrong to run like this. However, if you alternate your steps, much like a trot, but faster, you'll always keep at least one paw on the earth. With which you then can push yourself forwards more. I imagine with 6 paws, that you can go even a little faster." she told Vi. Then, she demonstrated with a light trot, followed up by faster moving of her four legs, in some kind of gallop - but lower to the ground, less dancy and more agile than a horse would ever move, of course.

Vi watched as Aamu made it look seemingly simple. Sure, she knew how to trot, but had never ran like that, and didn't really look to observe until now, so when she watched Aamu, it was some sort of revelation for the purple wolf. She nodded, though, and gave it a shot. Starting off with a normal trot, and slowly attempting to turn it into the gallop that the Dynroth had going. The Gourom was successful with alternating all of her six legs, but she was quite slow, as she had to think about it as she went along, and as soon as she tried to speed up, she subconsciously went back to loping, and as soon as she noticed, she stumbled to a halt. "Jeez... It'll be hard to change this habit..." she commented. "I see how keeping one paw on the ground makes a difference, though. Much less effort." she barked to her motherly figure in this land.

Aamu nodded, looking at how Vi walked. If she did it slowly, it came natural to use all the six legs, so in time, she was quite certain she would learn it. "Unfortunately, going slow and making the minor changes there is the only way to build up proper speed." she explained, smiling a bit. "Took me a while to make these moves into a habit, as well. There's something else I'd like to show you, that I think you should start with when you try to speed up things." she told the gourom. Perhaps Aamu was build a little leaner than a gourom was, but that should not matter too much if Vi could learn the right techniques.

Determined not to be put down by such a thing, she continued to practise, circling the Dynroth with a wide trotting circle at a jogging pace. This was plenty fast for now. She oriented her head so she was facing Aamu at all times. "I'll be able to do it. I always have ran faster than others, so with training I hope to be as fast as you!" she gleamed. She tripped again over her paws, but managed to stay up and keep the pace, however when the other asked to show her something, she spotted, and trotted on the spot, showing her keenness. "What is it, Aamu?" she asked with a sweet smile.

Aamu grinned a bit when Vi tripped, seeing that multiple tasks like talking and running cautiously at the same time, would maybe be too much. When the gourom girl stopped, however, Aamu nodded to her. "To gain speed in the first place. You can work on your startings, to be more agile. It will also help you later, if you want to improve your speed during turns." she barked. Walking over to Vi, she took position next to her. "A good start will have you build up speed more quickly. To make it so, you lower all your legs a bit closer to the ground. Bend the knees. Then, when you start to run you put your strength in your hind legs, and make sure to push yourself forwards, not upwards. It can be challenging, because your instinct may tell you to stand straight, but this reduces the amount of air that you are basically working against."

Aamu took position next to her, and Vi stood still while the motherly figure explained what she needed to do. She followed every move she told her to do, first bending all of her legs, then pushing with her hind legs very lightly, so she wouldn't take off just yet. "Kinda like went hunting, I guess. Maybe I'll get better at that after I develop this skill!" she barked, wagging her whole hind end. She was a terrible hunter, as were her parents that fed mostly off tubers but that didn't mean she couldn't change!

Aamu nodded, pleased at the notion that Vi had taken up, it was indeed much like hunting, to gain a quick start - it would be beneficial for both running and tackling prey. "Then I guess you should practise more. Want to race again?" she asked, nodding her head towards the nearby tree. "There and back again. You can practise the start both times." she offered.

Vi gave an open mouthed smile, and braced herself, lowering her six legs when Aamu mentioned a race. No words needed to be said, it was clear she was ready with her actions. As soon as the Dynroth nodded towards the tree, she pounced into action, driving herself forward rather than upwards, and sped towards the tree, as she neared the tree, she didn't slow down, because she had quickly thought up a plan. Rather than crash into the tree at full speed, at the last second she skid along the grass to slow herself a little, then hopped up slightly, twisting her body so that she could spring off the tree. Thankfully, she landed it, and raced back to the original starting spot.

Vi hadn't waited for Aamu to follow, so she waited back where she was. She nodded to herself when she saw the gourom pound on the tree; she would have done a similar thing with the ground itself, a sliding and then using the force to make the turns more quickly. That was not a technique that was easily learned however, and honestly similar to the starting thing she'd just shown the girl. It was good that she did this automatically however, so she barked enthusiastically when Vi returned. "Well done! I can tell you were much faster than the first time you made that trip." She smiled. It was only a matter of technique, and though Vi would need some more practise to make sure she picked it up as a habit, it was a great start. Enough for today, probably, though. One could not expect a young wolf to remember everything all at once.
