<td class = "EnfysStyle EnfysPostingArea" colspan="2">Enfys knew of an area close to the Zoo which seemed to be barren, with nothing of particular interest nearby, however, after a long flight her wings were exhausted, and she decided she would walk the rest of the way. She landed with a light thump onto the ground and stood there for a while, taking it all in. There was nothing here. Lifeless, save for a few weeds attempting to reclaim the seemingly nutritious soil. "Weeds are always stubborn." she thought, and shook her head sadly.

The she wolf folded her wings, and continued her now haphazard journey on foot, as she decided to investigate, panting and slowing her pace. Though it was nearing the end of summer, without the now so familiar feeling of air rushing through her long dark fur, it was hot, and there was no shelter nearby. Luckily, though, the Di'shei was an earth mage, so when she saw a dying tree, she gave the gift of encouragement to it, and with her power, made it flourish for the time being. "Wonder how long that will last in this land." she wondered to herself. After all, as well as the lack of nutrients in the earth, there didn't seem to be much water, either. Silently, she wished her water magic was advanced enough to take on the task of revitalising the land. Ahti, her mate, came into her thoughts for a moment and she smiled.

Whilst sitting in the tree's shade for a little while to cool herself, she grew a few plants around her. The method she used was far from gauche, as although she had to use little effort to make such plants, she did it in a slow, meticulous manner in order to pass the time. The mother of three in the past had little time for perfection, so now they were grown, she treasured the time she had to reflect and relax.

When she was finally done, and a little more cool, she stood once more, and stretched herself out, testing her wings again. They creaked as Enfys shuddered in pain. It was worse than before, but she did not think anything of it. The only plausible explanation in her mind was that she'd overworked herself by flying all around the place, and with a nod, she convinced herself, and drove herself forward with her rainbow wings folded, this time with purpose, towards her home, the Zanali Zoo.

In her quietest howl, she started to sing as she did in the air a lot of the time. The song consisted of simple variations of her howling tones, amalgamated in to a casual, unpremeditated tune. Singing often helped her with mundane tasks such as walking, or flying home, but the dark coloured wolf couldn't help but notice the scent that had filled her nostrils. Her happy howling halted at the stench. Her nose wrinkled up and she tried to breath more shallow as she started to pick up the pace. "Ugh, what is that?!" she pondered. After a little puzzlement she shoved the thought aside that it smelled bad- evil, even. However, the more she tried to push that thought aside, the stronger the scent got and the more she breathed, the more she panicked.

Enfys was smart, and was not about to be driven by imagination, and fear. She slowed herself down and shook her head. "Stop! It's just the same smell all over the city... just stronger." she scolded herself. For a moment, she halted and attempted to slow her breathing. "It's fine. I'm fine." she told herself in a quiet bark. She swallowed over the lump in her throat that had appeared when she was almost at the brink of tears, but she had held her emotions at bay. "Ok. Just get out..." she sighed to herself in wolfish.

Her path towards her pack continued. The smell started to fade ever so slightly and Enfys sighed with relief- but her ordeal clearly wasn't over. She realised this when the largest purple feather that had adorned her head for as long as she could remembered flopped in front of her face. She narrowed her eyes and shook it away, causing it to fall onto the ground. This wasn't exactly odd to Enfys, as her feathers fell out all the time- just not this one yet. She shrugged it off, and carried on her walk in no rush at all.

The blackish wolf hardly travelled at all before she felt an itch that came on so suddenly, she had to drop into a sitting position and scratch as fast as she could at it. She then shook herself off, and noticed a few more feathers fall out. She inspected her body, curling her head around herself in all directions. She could find not a single rainbow feather. Glancing behind her, she spotted her feathers along the trail she had taken and she took a short inhale. It seemed the itch was an already detached feather that was just along for the ride. "Another of Sverige's tricks?!" she thought, rather annoyed that this had happened.

Turning her attention to further ahead, she could see the outline of the Zoo. "Better get back quick before anything else happens." she barked to herself, rolling her eyes, clearly in a bad mood. "I don't care if my flight muscles ache, I just want to go home..." she decided. Enfys slowly opened her wings. The pain that came with it had worsened to the point that she yelped when they were fully open. "Just the first push will hurt the most... come on..." she thought, gearing herself up.

Gritting her teeth, she pushed up with all four paws and both wings- her normal take off. She was right. The first flap was caused extreme pain to course through her entire body, however, the second was excruciating. So painful, in fact, that it caused a flashback to her pup's birth. "No... this is worse." she thought, as in what seemed to be slow motion, she fell to the ground. It was not that high, and the pain from falling was absolutely nothing compared to the pain in her shoulders. She couldn't feel her wings. Thudding filled her ears as she looked around to see her wings lying on the floor by the sides of her. The now wingless female let out a loud, horrified howl. A call for help.
