"A-aye." he stuttered, not getting it for a moment, he looked the the floor and to the right of him, before giving a more sure nod. "Lemme try somethin' jus' a lil' different." he told her, and crouched down once again. He thought about how he had moved the giant rock that Sif oh-so-easily had shoved aside. How he had dug his legs into the snow to get more leverage. Before he had leapt, and that was not the way he had accomplished his goal back up north.

This time, rather than pounce, he stayed relatively low to the ground as he charged forward, and right as he hit the Gourom with his shoulder, he drove himself forward with his back legs to give it some more oomph.</td>

She waited and was patient while he puzzled it through. That was usually the way with young wolves, they'd been shown how to do something at some point but perhaps hadn't really understood why it had worked, and thus, needed practice and trial and error to find their way properly. Phoenix was rewarded for her patience, finally, by him surging forwards again, but this time, he didn't give her anything to really uproot, which was good, she thought, and she braced herself successfully for the impact, applauding him for applying himself in a proper manner. He pushed against her and for his size even, it was a good maneuver, and she did sway backwards a bit with a grunt, but was not toppled, even for the large size difference.

She was amply strong enough and had enough of a bulwark in her own defensibility to withstand and she simply sidled away to the side after he made his impact, nodding her head in approval and barking at him with almost jovial tones. Granted, it was likely hard to tell with her gruff speech, but she gave a toothy grin to accentuate it. <b><font color="#9D1309">”Felt it that time, good on ya! Use what ye got thar, and always try and withhold any edge from the other wolf. Ye got it hard with me, ah've years o' practice in such things. But, that means I can take more of an impact! What do you think that felt like, then? Better? "</font></b> She waited, before continuing she wanted to see what he thought so far.

This time, when he bumped into her, he felt that she had lost her footing a little, though it was very easy for her to rectify. Jumping back, he dipped his head to her with a grin. "It felt like ah shoved ye harder, and would've put another of a lower skill on the ground, aye?" he stated. Stretching and rolling his shoulder a little, he tilted his head at the Gourom. "Got any other moves te show me? Or is it always th' shoulder?" he question. </td>

She chuckled a bit and tilted her head at him with her own grin. This was an interesting sort of case, training a wolf like this. He was a much larger wolf, but less experienced, younger too, so there was so much potential. She figured he would be near her equal in time, so she wouldn't underestimate what he could do.

Doesn't hurt as much either ah think."</font></b> Another grin was given to him at that, and clearly, she could tell he wanted more so she would be happy to provide. After all, that's why they were here, wasn't it? <b><font color="#9D1309">”Ah'll show ye somewhat by doing, what do you think about that? Want to feel it for yourself and see what I do? All ye have ta do is take the hit, settle yerself for an impact, ah'll be gentle so's ye don't get harmed."</font></b> However, she waited until she felt he was ready before trying to do anything.

Freyadim gave an understanding nod to her answer regarding shoulder impact. When she told him she was going to attack his eyes widened, until she said she'd go easy. He chuckled. "Ah'll try te keep on my feet." he barked to the other with a grin, and spread his legs to hold himself strong and brace for impact. "Ready!" he announced.</td>

The firey wolf looked at her companion as he said he was ready and then snorted in assent before she decided to begin. Her sturdy paws took her right forwards towards him, lowering herself to the ground as she did so, putting her wings close to her body as she bent her head downwards, to protect her neck. Instead of turning into Freyadim when she came around for the impact, she made as if to go past him but then at the moment her head got just past his shoulder, she turned and went to grasp around his scruff with her muzzle, simultaneously using her broad chest to impact him, putting just a fraction less of her skill of strength into that movment of slamming so as to not truly knock him on his rear, and attempt to give him a good toss and chest butt. In a real fight, she would be looking to wound him there, but she did not bite down, instead simply pantomiming what danger could be real if that was the case of him being a true enemy. However, after that maneuver, she did not stop her momentum and as she went to perform the grab and release of the other wolf's pelt with her chest slam, she pushed herself backwards using her skill of strength in her forepaws this time to propel her a bit away, instead of rushing past. Her head was still facing him, s she was obviously ready to watch for a counter attack.

The giant wolf braced for impact, but her movements took him by surprise, she looked as if she would run past, so he attempted to turn around to face her,
thinking she was going for an attack from the rear, but as he swung around, she grabbed at his pelt and bumped into him. He growled as his paws skid along the ground, and he went to play-bite her back, but she pushed away. Instinct, rather than brains pushed the Lerk'shei forward into his counter attack. He opened his massive maw and went straight for the Gourom's muzzle, while slamming his whole body into her side, to hopefully topple the opponent.</td>

Surprisingly, rather than cease, Frey attempted a counter attack, which brought a small smile to the gourom's muzzle. Well, if that's the way he wanted to learn, she could play that way as well. As she had already lunged away, there was a bit of distance to cover, which meant that she had a moment to react. His large size would be a bit of a detriment here, as he rushed her and slammed with his whole body, she simply ducked her own head down, covering her sensitive neck area and crouched, allowing him to come towards her and then she would root her muzzle up underneath his legs and push off again with her powerful skill of strength, but this time intent on meeting his forward rush with an attack from below as it were. She felt the impact of Freyadim but did not mind, her tough hide protecting her quite well in it's defensive manner.

She countered by pushing him from underneath, so he leaped back and shook himself off. He was a little bruised from the ordeal, but he didn't mind of course. Before deciding to continue, he asked the female. "Didnae hurt ye, aye? Ah don't think ah did, since ye've had a counter to everythin', but jus' checkin'." he barked to his friendly female tutor.</td>

Not all fightin is something that can be taught, sommat it is instinct as well."</font></b>
