Despite this, there was a certain pessimistic throb that would not leave his hurting heart alone. A part of him felt as if he was used like a dirty tissue, and then discarded when he served his purpose. The thought caused his stomach to roll, his ears flattening against his crown as nausea washed over him in waves. Discarded and forgotten. That was him.

He pulled himself to his feet and quickly began to pad out of his cave, taking a moment to try and shake the depressing thoughts off of him like water. The sky was just breaking into a beautiful array of water colors. Splashes of orange, yellow, pinks, blues and purples lined the sky, shining its promising light down on the wounded male. He lingered for a moment to stare up into its alluring hues before setting forth once again. His paws lead him away from home - home. It felt good to say that again, though he didn't feel as if he was whole. That painful jab in his chest cavity reminded him that it was still very much there.

It didn't help that he didn't feel as if he could talk to anyone about it. He didn't want to paint Deacon in a dark light. He didn't want to be told something he didn't want to hear. He didn't know if his wounded heart could take it. Emotions were a foreign concept to the bleached male. They were hard for him to comprehend. He couldn't fathom why his friend would tell him everything he did if he was just going to leave afterward. Had it all been a ruse? A clever way to beget the evening they shared together? Was Castiel a hopeless romantic destined to be hurt?

A sigh pushed from his nose as he entered the thickly foliaged area, his limbs coming to a halt beneath his small frame. Maybe his family was right to treat Deacon with enmity. Maybe they weren't blinded by love - but was it truly love? Castiel had never really known what it was like to love anyone that was not his family. So how did he even know what he felt toward the male? Ears pinned against his skull, his corrugated brow giving away his discouraging contemplation. It proved to be too much for him.

He reached down inside of himself for the flame that burned vividly beneath the melancholy that encompassed his every emotion. He grasped tight to it and raised it from the perdition that waged war against his naive heart. Exhaling slowly through his nose those beryl hued orbs flashed open as a brilliant rope of fire lashed out before him, scorching the air with the heat and turmoil that he felt within him. His breathing was labored, the gusts of oxygen getting caught in his throat with each difficult inhale and exhale. A small ball of flame began to form in front of him but it was quickly growing in circumference. Had he been a wolf ruled entirely by emotion he'd have cared very little if he caused a wild fire that would consume the woods around him.

He was predominately ruled by logic and intelligence, however. Common sense told him that he did not want to be the cause of a deadly fire that would kill the food they required to survive. The growing ball of rage dissipated into thin air, leaving behind no evidence that it had ever been manifested into existence in the first place. All that was left was for the frustrated tears to fall from beryl colored orbs and fall they did. Streaks of warm, salty liquid left tell-tale signs of his inner turmoil as evidence on his cheeks even as he clenched his eyelids tight in a futile attempt to keep them at bay.

The emotions burned like liquid fire inside of him and leaked like rivers from his eyes.
