[ COMPLETED ]

Sea really shouldn't have had touched the weird open emptiness, a portal though she did not know it was called that. But she was a curious creature, and touched it anyways.
    For a moment she felt a morph, something happening to her, the next she felt and smelled the salty air of the ocean. She looked down, took in one gulp of air before her large body plummeted into the ocean water. The strong waters turned her over and over, and she couldn't tell which way was up or down. She looked about for any light-for light meant up. 
    She spotted the light for a moment, before she was turned over by another strong wave. As soon as her body was turned slightly towards the surface, she swam as hard as her legs could push toward the surface. Another wave that crashed against her body and she was sent spinning again. She again swam towards the surface, letting air out as she did so. Her head broke the surface and she took in a lungful of air, looking about for any land.
    ‘Sand!’ She thought, seeing the beach. She swam as hard as she could towards the beach, her muscles protesting at the strain against the waves tossing her forward and backward. The cold was nipping at her skin, but she ignored it in the favor of getting to the one land she could see.
    As soon as her back paws could feel the sand shift beneath her, she swam even harder, practically toppling over as she raced up the beach until not a single part of her was in the water. She fell over, barely holding herself up as she coughed and hacked heavily till all of the water in her lungs were expelled. She groaned as she fell down completely, closing her eyes and sucking in breath. She sighed slightly as she felt the warm sand against her fur and skin, and decided that maybe she could nap here. Her muscles tensed and relaxed, body practically shivering.

Smile had been walking the beach, searching for washed up meat of any kind. For whatever reason, the she-wolf had grown to like, no love, seafood. She had been so focused on her search, nose down, ears perked, that she jumped nearly ten feet when she heard the huge splash. She turned her head quickly, searching for the source. When she caught sight of the small wolf, she pranced worriedly on the sand. Smile could do nothing but watch this all happen with a concerned look in her ochre eyes. As soon as the young wolf was safe in the sand, she galloped over and inspected them, sniffing her over, checking for blood or wounds. When Smile deemed the youngin' safe, she hung back, and watched them, twitching her ears. The sand molded to her paws so she picked them up gently and set them back down, uneasy at the grains between her toes.

Sea didn't notice the other wolf until warm breath brushed over her fur. She didn't want to open her eyes, nor speak, not yet, until her body wasn't shaking as horribly. Instead she continued to take in much needed lungful of air, taking in the others scent.
    It took a few minutes, but the shivering lessened, and the breathing calmed. Sea blinked open her eyes, then immediately shut them at the harsh light. She tried again, squinting for a moment at the sand, feeling a small bit of salt that had collected in her eyes. She blinked it away before her eyes fully opened,her eyes a bright green. She turned her body slightly, looking to the other wolf. She gave a smile, and said aloud, “I'm fine dear, a bit of water ain't gonna take me down.” She then frowned, realizing her voice sounded more younger than it originally was.
    She slowly got up, almost falling back over with her muscles protesting. She finally stood up to her full height, slightly disgruntled at the feeling of sand sticking to her fur.  She shook her body heavily, water droplets falling about around her, along with the sand. She then turned and looked to the other. She gave a smile, and asked, “So could you tell me where I am, exactly?”

Smile shook her head sadly. She opened her mouth and forced out what little sound she could. She was mute. She raised her paw and pointed to the mainland, then pointed to herself. She was trying to convey 'home', but she knew it wasn't going so well. She stood, inviting the femme up as well, and started walking slowly. She made sure the girl was following her and then attempted to make 'conversation'. She pointed to the scar on the left side of her face, then smiled. Smile, my name is Smile. She would have to talk to a shaman about 'mind talking'. She'd been mute since birth and was kind of glad, seeing as her voice would still be very masculine even though her body changed.

Sea had her ears perked, straining for the barely-there noise that came out of the other. She tilted her head slightly, watching her paw point to the larger part of the land, then to her self. She was confused, unsure of what the other was trying to convey.
    When the other wolf got up and started to walk away, she gave a soft bark, and hurriedly followed after. She looked over the others face, noticing her point to the scar on her face.  Sea leaned her own face a bit closer to the others, eyes slightly squinting. She then leaned back with her ears perked and a smile, asking,"Ah your name is smile right? Because of that scar on you." She wagged her tail, seemingly excited that she could at least understand a small bit about the mute wolf. "My name is Sea, kind of like the water you just saw me come out of." She told the other.

Smile shook her head excitedly when Sea got her name right. She was excited that someone had actually gotten it. She'd been called so many different things over the years because she couldn't translate her name. When they reached solid, earthy ground, Smile plopped down. She wouldn't be able to walk and 'talk', because she'd have to use her paws. Smile had never had a pack in Sverige, so she didn't know the specific name of the region. To her it was home and she'd try again. She gestured back to the landscape and then feigned sleeping. She looked at the sky, puzzled on how to get it across, like it would have the answers. She pinned her black ears, grumbling slightly. She'd never met many other wolves and hadn't stuck around for long, so it had been a long while since she had had to translate. She did want to talk to this strange girl, but she was having quite the language block.

Sea had to laugh slightly at the others excitement. When they reached earthy ground sea, layer down and wiggled her front and side around on the grass, as well as rolling on to her back, trying to rid of the sand that still stuck to her. She sat back up and shook herself, then looked down to see her progress. Most of it was off, and she was satisfied.
    Sea glanced at Smile, and saw that the other was contemplating. She took that time to look about herself, around the shore. It wasn't too diffrent then the world she was originally on- sure the shore had a good amount of more sand then the other world, but other then that it was the same. She could spot small creatures that walked about sideways, and she tilted her head in curiousty. She looked around to the mainland, but couldn't see too much difference. Then again she wasn't that close.
    Sea looked down at her self, lifting her paws and looking them over. She layed down, looking at the rest of her body and fur. It wasn't changed too much-sure she was a bit smaller then before and the blue coloring was darker, but other then that she was okay. 
    She then looked at smile and said, "You must live here, on this island right? I don't come from here, you probably could already tell with my entrance." She chuckled lightly, and continued, " But I don't think I'll be able to go back to where I once lived." The note was sad, but her face still smiled.

Smile grinned, and nodded. Yes! I live here, she thought triumphantly. As Sea explained her woe, Smile nodded empathetically. She studied the wolf, sniffing slightly to get more information. The wolf smelled... young, like her mother almost, but she was very large, mucher taller and wider than Smile, and Smile was the size of a male. She was pretty positive the wolf was not of her species and she looked the youngin' up and down. She listened to Sea, twiddling with her nose piercing and nodding along. She obviously couldn't reply so she wracked her brain for something she could actually say. She perked up and pointed to Sea's stomach, before patting her own soft underside. It was sort of awkward, because Smile had an odd way of sitting, with her 'knees' pressed together. It was only to protect herself though. She'd gotten bad rep for being openly.... female, as a child.

Sea perked, looking down at the paw that poked at her stomach. She watched as it transferred to Smiles own, and she tilted her head, unsure of what exactly was being told.  Curious, she came a bit closer, and sat up. She straightened her head, staring at her for a few moments before she ventured a guess. "Are you asking if I'm hungry? Or saying that you're hungry?” She tilted her head. She frowned, slightly annoyed with herself that she couldn't understand the other well. Then again, not many people at her own world were mute.
    She glanced about to the beach, eyeing the weird sideways walking creatures. They didn't look too hard to catch-but those pincers would hurt if they grabbed on to Sea.

Smile nodded the first time, pointing at Sea's stomach. She grinned when Sea eyed the crab and shook her head. She poked herself with her claw to show pain, then sniffed at the little red crustacean. She flicked her claw at it, watching it go flying. It tumbled in the sand before burrowing away. Smile tried to laugh at it's little legs but all that came out was a little wheeze. Smile blushed visibly, ashamed she couldn't even laugh. She looked away, licking her chops to distract herself.
