      Vuple had once again wondered off on her own. She loved her title as explorer in the pack as it gave her the freedom to come and go as she pleased. She meandered around, not really in any particular direction and soon found herself in a meadow. A gentle breeze filled the air and ruffled her fur. The wind felt different today, though she couldn't place why. 
<br>
      Continuing her journey she found that there were tiny field mice scurrying about here and there. In a very feline display, she began to run and chase and pounce at the creatures having quite a bit of fun. Another gust of wind beckoned to her and this time she knew what that feeling was. Yet again she had developed another connection with another element. 
<br>
      Abandoning the fun game of chasing mice she decided to sit down and test if her theory was accurate and she began to focus on the wind and try to connect with it like she had the fire and water.

The di'shei was simply taking a flight, soaring through the chill skies that not many dared to fly during this season. It was simply too cold for most, and it was only due to the fact that she could speed up the air about her immediate location using her air affinity, plus her heavy, long fur, that gave her the edge in this manner. Her silvered gaze watched idly below as she soared, relying on her other senses to prevent her from hitting any birds as she moved along, interested to see things below. She always enjoyed flying, the feel of the wind in her fur and feathers, and the sense of freedom it brought being high amongst the clouds, unfettered by earthly bonds as it were.

Suddenly, she did come across something on the ground, a rather red form that looked remarkably like a fox, although they shouldn't be out and about during this wintertime. A gust of wind brought a crisp wintery scent to her nose and reminded her that what she was looking at was likely a wolf, now that she saw a bit better. After all, what sorts of foxes had antlers? Landing just nearby, she padded forth through the crispy, mostly dead grasses and smiled towards this wolf. <b>"Greetings, there!"</b> She barked, wondering if this wolf needed any aid or perhaps was just one of those that did enjoy the cold.

     After having only been focusing for what seemed like a moment, the solitude was broken with the soft thud of someone or something landing, followed by an unfamiliar bark. Vuple opened her eyes to see yet another winged wolf. Maybe they were as common as the birds in the trees. She silently hoped she wouldn't sprout the feathery protrusions. The idea of a wolf in the air seemed unnatural to her though she didn't judge.
<br>
    The other greeted her and thus identified herself as a friend or not a threat, at least for now. She returned the greeting, "Greetings, I am Vuple Explorior of Orior." The cold had begun to get to her so she focused a bit and warmed the area around her paws. It wasn't an entire fix but it would help for a while and if she got too cold she could just start a fire with the dried brush around her.

Freyja smiled pleasantly, her long tail swishing through the dry grass as she was greeted with a friendly reply. This wolf was also one from the Orior pack, which made her pleased as well and she nodded with a musical bark of her own in response. <b>"I am glad to meet you Vuple of Orior. I am friends with your Alpha, Keita. I am Freyja, Alpha of Divum, and it is very pleasant to meet you."</b> With that she bowed her head towards the ubeli, in a polite gesture. She noticed as she did so, that a waft of a warm breeze suddenly came to her senses, and she perked up, nodding with a movement of her silvered gaze towards Vuple's paws. <b>"You are using your own magic to keep you warm as I am, I sense? I have keen senses and can detect a bit of warmth on the breeze from your paws. I do not have such magic, but I use the air magic instead, to keep myself a bit of a barrier between my body and the chill."</b> She was always interested in other wolves' uses of magic, especially as she no longer possessed fire magic of her own.

    Ah, Divum, that was where she had found the builder magic. What a splendid tower they had built. It was nice to meet the pack leader of a pack that had accomplished such a feat. [ b]”I have paid a visit to your territory once before. I am in awe of your tower. It is amazing! I had never seen such builder magic, err, I mean earth magic.”[/b] she corrected herself. It made more sense to call it builder magic anyway.

  When Freyja made mention of her using her fire and then said she was able to warm herself with air. Hope was confused. ”Yes, I am using the heat to warm my paws. I don’t handle the cold well but I was going stir crazy in the den all day. To be honest I hate this entire season. Does nothing but make me hurt. I use the fire to try and keep me warm but I know I’ll have to light a fire sooner or later.” Some snow had begun to melt around her paws and a disgusted scowl washed over her face. Even though she had begun to train with water, she still dispised the stuff.

 Her momentary lapse in focus from the topic ended as she resumed speaking, ”You say you are using the air to warm yourself? That doesn’t make any sense to me. The air is cold. Fire is hot. Fire makes me warm. Air makes me cold. How do you use something cold to make you warm? I think I have connected with the air, though it is a very new thing for me.” The idea that something cold could make her warm seemed quite silly to the orange female.

The di'shei nodded with a smile as Vuple spoke of visiting the tower. It was a lasting reminder of Shiloh, and even though he was departed now, it would forever stay in his memory. <b>"I thank you for your kind words. Sadly, the wolf who created such a thing is now lost from our world, likely having fell prey to one of the magical portals that pop up every so often. The tower will stay as his last great work, a reminder of what a skilled earth mage he was."</b> She barked with tones of remembrance and loss in her voice. However, still the topic that was at paw was more about the magic that currently was being used, and she was glad to continue along that vein, instead. There was no use going any further into such a <u>dismal</u> discussion of her lost pack member, really.

She wasn't at all surprised that the other wolf despised winter. Freyja wasn't much of a fan herself, but she had long been on this world, and she had a well-working knowledge of how to stay warm even in the bitter cold. She wasn't at all surprised, however, when Vuple voiced that she didn't know how Freyja could keep herself warm using the wind. So she demonstrated by pushing out her air 'shield' further out, to also include Vuple in its manner. Almost immediately the temperature within the sphere rose due to the wolves body heat being kept inside, along with Vuple's own fire magic that was being used to increase the heat. <b>"I use the air as a shield, somewhat. Essentially I protect myself with a sphere of air all around and cause it to move swiftly so that it forms a sort of barrier. It's not solid enough to block projectiles or other creatures, although they would suffer due to the intense winds, it does help to keep my own body heat to myself instead of simply dissipating as it leaves my body."</b> She offered up with a smile, hoping that would make sense to the other wolf.

     Vuple's eyes softened, since her time here in Sverige she had become a bit more in tune with not only her emotions but the emotions of others. She knew such a loss would most certainly stay with the pack for a long time. It would take time to heal such a wound. "I'm so sorry." That seemed to be the appropriate words for such a situation though she didn't quite understand why. It didn't help the situation much, it at all, but that was what she had heard from other wolves. 
<br>
    It seemed Freja had spent enough time on the subject, understandable, and moved onto the air magic. She found this concept to be of particular interest. It fascinated her.  Then when she felt the warmth around her due to such a feat she knew she had to learn this trick. "Woa..that is incredible! Please! Can you teach me?"

Vuple gave condolences to a wolf she hadn't known and that gave Freyja an opportunity to smile a bit. However, the discussion was geared towards the learning of magic now, and that was something that she figured she could help with easily. So she nodded. <b>"Yes, I can, since you have the affinity for the air. Tell me, what does it feel like to you so far, what do you know of it?"</b> Obviously if they were going to start training, well, she wanted to start at the beginning, so as not to miss anything that might prove vital later.

     She let out a small sigh, she doubted that such a task would be obtainable just yet. "I have only just connected with the element. I am not sure what I am able to do with such magic yet. If this proves to be too difficult for me yet, maybe you can tell me how to do it and I can practice later."

     She conjured a fireball and slowly melted the snow around the ground around her feet. Learning such a trick would be very beneficial for her to more effectively manage her body temperature.

She smiled patiently, not deterred by Vuple's lack of information. For a wolf that was new to the element, it was not surprising, and as such, Freyja figured she'd start at the very beginning. First, however, Vuple would need to stop using her fire affinity for a bit. <b>"Well, once you put the fireball away, I'll tell you how to properly feel the air, if that's ok."</b> She offered in a musical, good-natured bark. It would be much easier for Vuple to learn if she would be able to focus on just one thing at a time, at least, at first, to learn just how all of this air affinity worked. Such was the way with a beginner in any sort of skill, it was best to focus on that one thing at a time until they were more learned in it. Freyja continued to upkeep her sphere of circling winds around the two wolves, to aid with keeping it warm inside.

<b>"Air can be a fickle thing to learn. So you must realize that you have to feel for it from deep within yourself. It is also invisible, so it is even more important to be able to concentrate, and understand how to grasp it with your mind. Simply try and do that now, simply concentrate from within and see if you can just push the air enough to cause this feather to move."</b> With that simple enough instruction, or so she hoped, Freyja plucked a singular feather out of one of her wings and held it aloft in the air with her muzzle and a slight grin.
