  The creature didn't do much as the strange encounter came to an end. Skye watched as it stepped off to the side and looked at him with a funny expression. What a strange creature. He wanted to do something in return, but what? The thing looked kind of like some of the deer that he had seen in the past and he knew that these deer ate grass and plants and things. With so much snow on the ground, he thought it might be hard for such a creature to find much to eat.

  Instead of leaving like he had first thought, he sat and focused on the snow to change its state. He had gotten much better and this task wasn't nearly as taxing as it had once been. Once the snow seemed to clear for the most part he then concentrated on the earth beneath the now melted snow. Slowly grass grew from the ground. He grew it about six inches tall in a large patch. Maybe that would be enough.

   After he had finished he stood and bowed his head in respect, then padded off towards home. What a strange encounter.

What a curious little beastie this was. She blinked as instead of the expected walk out, the silly wolf sat down, a rather mercurial thing. He melted some snow - ah, that was an ability that might come in useful - and then grey some grass in that spot - less useful. She could do that. Hadn't she just showed him that earth was an element that she could handle on her own?

Granted, perhaps it was just a gesture of appreciation. She watched him leave after that, following his movement through the forest until he was out of sight. Bereft of something better to do with the grass, she snapped the small patch up from the ground and continued her walk through the forest.
