Absynthe, at first encounter, is clearly not a terribly feminine creature. Even for a lerk, she's particularly chunky and masculine. At 40 inches high and 234 pounds, Abby is heavy rather than tall, a mixture of heavy bone, thick muscles, and a rather generous helping of fat. Absynthe does not mind this complete lack of femininity, rather enjoying the genetically-given chance to throw her weight around as roughly as she pleases.

Absynthe is somewhat more hyena-like than many lerk, all the standard characteristics of her kind somewhat exaggerated to make her snout particularly short, her ears particularly large, and so on. These features may not make her any prettier, but Abby does think they make her rather unique, and appreciates the extra power a shorter snout affords. Like a hyena, her bite is viciously strong, hard to shake and crushing like a vice.

Her coat is pale and monochromatic, base coat a pale grey. Faint smears of darker grey stripe leisurely across her back, overlain in paler gray that form stripes similar to those of a boar piglet. Spots of darker gray are smattered across her forelegs, shoulder, and tail. Abby's neck and head are of a paler color than the rest of her body, reaching a near white along the nape of her neck which descends down across her forehead and in soft strips at the sides of her neck. All in all, an attractive coat - except that she does not care for it well, so it is most often tainted the color of mud or dirt or blood.

Finally her eyes - quite unimpressive. Olive shaped and snotty green, with a mean sort of ambition in them. They at least match well with her yellowed teeth. Her right (Our left) also sports a tear in the iris, hindering her vision.

Mutations

Quick Healing || Works more like an alligator's ability to heal quickly than Wolverine's.

Animal Companion || Absynthe has recently begun to be followed around by an albino bald bear cub. The creature is growing on the wolves of Browar, and seems quite docile in spite of his species.

Natural Immunity || Absynthe's body is naturally resistant to most poisons. She san't escape entirely without effect, but toxins that could kill other wolves are easier for her to escape. Unfortunately, this mutation means that medicines do not have as much effect on her either.

Metal Accessory || In scrounging about the university, Absynthe has found an old metal piano string. The craftsmanship on it is clumsy, but the lerk has roughly worked the thing into a necklace and decorated it with the claw of one of her defeated opponents - Calcifer the Demon.

Physical Paragon || Abs has dedicated her energy to refining her physical prowess, and boasts high endurance for both injury and attack.

Personality

Likes: Eating, being boss, water, females.
Dislikes: Respecting elders and tradition, behaving in general.
Strengths: Burly, somewhat smart, determined.
Weaknesses: Proud, contrary, aggressive.
Fears: Starvation, having puppies.

Alignment Neutral

The gentlest way to explain Absynthe's personality is.... "Independent." It would be more accurate to call her ornery however. Abby can function within a pack, but has a natural pride and tendency towards dominance that makes controlling her a real pain. If the lerk hears a command she disapproves of, she's likely to simply ignore it. It's not that she's stupid exactly - just stubborn and highly - highly opinionated.

That aside, she's not a bad wolf. Abby keeps an eye on those she feels protective of, isn't particularly violent. Sure she's short tempered. Sure, she likes to throw her weight around. She's even a bit selfish, doing what's most practical for her over what might be considered morally correct. Survival is number one priority after all. Absynthe has dreamed in the past about starting a pack, but a general laziness has kept her from truly pursuing the idea. But all she really needs is some proper motivation. The lerk might even get to proper work with a handful of wolves relying on her.

The bulky lerk does have a tender side to her, but it's rather rarely seen. Absynthe can be quite playful and affectionate with lovers, but thanks to her generally unattractive... everything, lovers are a rare thing in her life. Friends are a bit easier to come by, so long as Absynthe keeps her temper, met with jokes and rough grins and playful sparring. Pups are generally out of the question as friends or kin however, and the lerk generally avoids them at all costs. They're annoying and needy and it's a bit frightening to think about how they happened.

Absynthe's history is not particularly impressive. Born in a small pack in the far forests, she grew up as normal a life as a wolf can have in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Her parents weren't the alphas, but the way Abby behaved as a cub one would've thought they were. Proud and dominant, the fat little lerk pushed the other puppies around and told them what to do. It wasn't much concern for the leaders when Abby was a pup, but as she grew and the dominant streak remained the alphas began to worry.

As Abby neared adulthood the alpha female began pushing her around, growling and snapping and bossing until the young lerk finally got fed up and set out, accompanied by her cousin Bourbon. A year of wandering has brought them to this city. She doesn't understand how the rocks came to stand so high, or how such strange caves formed. But the lerk finds herself interested. Intrigued even. This strange place is quite.... Unusual.

Last winter, Absynthe was booting from Orior for foul behavior in spite of having tried to stay with them for her own safety through the harsh season. After a bit of rattling around on her own, she was able to meet up with several other wolves and establish a pack alongside her cousin in the far north. Leading a group hasn't been nearly as easy as she'd hoped it would be, however, with attacks from humans and wolves alike falling one after another on the new pack.
